(New Model) Danby DDW621WDB Countertop Dishwasher, White – Works as expected. It isn’t very loud and I’ve

It’s fantastic i can’t believe that something small could do so much. Above and beyond my expectations.

Lived without a dishwasher for 14 years because my i couldn’t afford to lose cabinet space in my kitchen. I finally gave up counter space in a corner because i hate to do dishes. Did my research on countertop dishwashers, decided that this was my best bet, and couldn’t be happier. Very, very quiet, cleans well, and i only use it every 4-5 days since i live alone. It saves water, is good on electric bill, and i don’t have to do dishes.

Came well boxed and shipped super fast. This little beast is very quiet and holds a surprising amount of dishes. Perfect for our limited space aituation. So go ahead, press that buy button.

  • Best of all the current countertops, but that’s not saying much at all.
  • Great countertop dishwasher – you can’t go wrong
  • Good replacement for the older models. Quiet. Cleans well.

I absolutely love this machine. I am a freak about having dishes washed in hot water. I had an older version of this and used it for many years. I eventually sold my older one when i moved out. Missing a dishwasher in the new place, i broke down and upgraded to this one. What surprised me the most is how quiet this is. Does a really nice job on the dishes and pots. The only thing i miss is the window in the front. I used to like to check to make sure nothing was inhibiting the washer arm from functioning. All in all, easy to set up, and a dream if you hate washing dishes.

Saved me 30 minutes of hand dishwashing per night. At the cost of the machine that is approximately $2 a day for the one year i need it in this apartment.

It works great and has way more room than you would imagine. Perfect for my husband and i.

It isn’t very loud and i’ve not seen a marked increase in my electric bill. I do wish it were a little taller so my full sized plates would fit in it, however, the plates are bigger than normal.

If you never owned a dishwasher by this it is amazing for the price. Although i would say it kind of fits only like two people dish.

With age my eyesight is not what it used to be and poor lighting doesn’t help. I don’t think it could do better than it does.

Biggest gripe is that it is difficult to hook up some faucets and there is only one adapter. The washer is fairly decent – as long as you have your dishes well rinsed. I honestly mostly use mine to sanitize. Dishes are very wet by the end of the cycle – but i live in a very wet climate. Better than not having a dishwasher.

I absolutely love my new danby countertop dishwasher. It arrived actually the day before it was originally scheduled. There were two small things wrong at first. The cutlery container handle was broken and the quick connect piece that went into the faucet had a problem. I called amazon and they immediately rectified the situation above and beyond what i expected. The dishwasher is quiet, cleans the dishes really well and my 10. 5 corelle plates fit just right. It also fits the stainless steel interior of my instant pot. I use a liquid dishwasher cleanser instead of the pods as they contain too much detergent for this small unit. I also use the finish rinse as recommended.

It’s great for few cups & plates, but not much other such as baking or frying pans & casseroles which needs be cleaned like the rest you would think. So i still have to resort to plastic gloves and a dish-brush most of the time. I use it sparingly once or twice/a week. And then, you have to pay some maintenance work after machine is done, don’t forget that. It’s a great machine as far as the built and its work, but not of much help, really.

Unfortunately, from my research on countertop dishwashers, this is the best of the bunch. It appears as though all countertops are manufactured by the same manufacturer, and then just appointed with slightly different electronics and faces to suit each re-branding oem’s needs. They’re all almost exactly the same size, there’s only about 2 or 3 variations on the racks, and they all appear to have the same door/port placement. We had a danby designer before this and it recently gave up the ghost after 12 years of faithful service. I now wish we would have repaired that one, because none of the current models are anywhere near as good as that thing was. The pros: * this is the only model with a heater built in. *however,* it doesn’t really get that hot at 165f. Our last model had to settings for heat– normal and hot– and the hot setting would essentially steam everything away and scortch your hand if you touched glasses coming directly out after a cycle. I was honestly surprised by how quiet this thing is, and it’s been probably the best feature improvement over older models.

Best dishwasher i have ever owned. I have sent 5, high quality, full size, dishwashers to the charity shop in 5 years because the dishes came out worse than they were when i put them in, after being pre washed with soap and hot water, they were actually cloudy when they came out. So in a state of advanced fed up ness, having listened to all of the lame justifications from sales persons that i can tolerate, i thought, as a last ditch effort, for the sake of my manicure, maybe just to do the silverware, i’d give this a shot. It produces the cleanest dishes i have ever seen. Hint: use those finish quantum detergent pillow things. Ok, so it isn’t engineered to handle really large plates, just put them in on a bit of a slant. I did not pre wash, pre rinse or anything else except to shake off the big chunks. This is the acid test, right?. It dealt with cheese enchiladas with dried on sour cream like a champ. Note, this is probably not your product if you are a family of four or more, but for one or two people, or for an apartment, this one absolutely gets the blue ribbon.

It’s a little bigger than i expected but still compact, very easy instructions, quick set up, and holds a lot more dishes than you might think.

Love, love this portable dishwasherit does an excellent job of washing dishes, pot, utensils etc. Just like a full size dishwasher. Hook up was very easy plus it came with all the connectors described in the features. Quiet machine just right for my family. Arrived on time plus packaged very well, highly recommend.

I am in love with this dishwasher; it has saved me from the drudgery of hand washing dishes (along with chapped cracked hands). I cannot say enough good things about this dishwasher; it fits nicely on my counter top and underneath the cabinets, ample capacity – read the outside dimensions people. This thing is not a tardis there is no way it’s going to be bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. The capacity it as basically the top rack of a smaller dishwasher. It took me a little while to get use to loading, but now i have the hang of it. I researched a lot before making my purchase;1 year warranty (much better than some countertop dishwashers i looked at) along with the extended warranty provided by my credit card and an additional 2 months added to the warranty provided by danby, just take the short questionnaire on the danby website – 22 month warranty, wowquality companygood repair history versus some of the popular asian brands.

I actually have used it to wash dishes that have piled up for many days and it worked greati used oxyclean rinse aid and palmolive platinum detergent pods. I can stand right next to it and have a phone conversation. Extra positive: i position the hot water being drained into sink over the items that don’t fit in dishwasher and it helps make handwashing easier.

With 4 of us here, it’s just the right size to keep up the dishes by running a load at night =) i hate washing the dishes because it hurts my hands, and this was the perfect solution. They only issues that i have with it is that even with the rinse aid, it doesn’t get all of the soap off of the plates, but that’s easily solved but a quick wipe with a damp rag; and i can’t put a cup in the back left corner because they just won’t get clean. Other than those very minor issues, it’s been beautiful. Included everything i needed to install, and was a fairly easy set-up.

Fine for casual use/removal of crumbs, but does not get stuck on foods or heavy duty washing done, at all. Rack is also a little difficult to load at times.

Had it about a week and have done several loads of dishes. Multiple settings for differnt types of dishes. I tuck away the hoses when i’m not using it. Really should have bought this thing years ago.

This model is much better than the ddw497 i replaced. The ddw621 is *far* quieter and cleans items in the dishwasher noticeably better. There is one negative point. The left side has a pair of adjustable/removable shelves. In the ddw497, the comparable shelf was just low enough to allow a second set of cups to be on that shelf (four cups/tall glasses on the lower rack and four 9-oz coffee cups on the upper shelf). The two shelves in the ddw621 are set too high to permit this. They will not allow the same 9-oz cups (correlle) to be on those shelves because they hit the top of the front opening when you try to roll it into the dishwasher. If you move the racks down, then there is no room for the same-sized cups under those shelves. I checked other coffee cups (8-9 oz capacity, not just correlle), and they all experienced the same problem. This is a design flaw in the rack, not in the dishwasher.

So easy to hook up, can fill a lot of dishes. We are getting a new baby in our house soon.
